Zinc Phosphorus Germanium (ZGP)

Nature and Characteristics:
ZnGeP2 crystal (ZGP crystal for short), the Chinese name is phosphorus germanium zinc crystal. It has the characteristics of large nonlinearity (deff=75pm/V), low absorption, high thermal conductivity (36W/mK) and high damage threshold (> 2J/cm2). ZGP crystal is one of the best nonlinear materials to realize high-power middle and far-infrared tunable laser and THz band output at present. Pumping ZnGeP2 crystal by optical parametric transformation (OPO) technology can realize wide tuning middle and far infrared laser output, covering a wavelength band of 0.75-12μm, an effective wavelength band of 2.1-10.6μm and an absorption rate of less than 0.03cm-1. It has the advantages of stability, reliability, small volume, light weight and full curing, and has important application prospects in nuclear penetration prevention, infrared countermeasures, laser interference, blindness and so on.

•The Second, Third and Fourth Frequency Doubling of CO2 Laser
•For optical parametric oscillation (OPO), 2.5-12 μm tunable laser output is achieved by using 2 μ m laser pumping.
•CO laser frequency doubling
•70μm-1000μm THz band generation
•CO, CO2 and other mid-infrared lasers (1-11μm) perform frequency difference or frequency combination.
